Summary:

"The fourth true ancestor" is a legendarily strong vampire that shouldn't exist. Accompanied by the 12 "gun-beasts," this phantom vampire is said to have appeared in Japan. In order to find and kill this "fourth true ancestor," the government and the Lion King Organization order the dispatch of attack mages called "sword-maidens." For some reason an apprentice named Yukina Himeragi was chosen for the task. Wielding the strongest spiritual spear, Yukina comes to the special demon district Itokami City. There she encounters Kojou Akatsuki and learns the true nature of the "fourth true ancestor."

Content: 6/10
Your typical anime with vampires and monsters mixing some shounen elements nicely. Just a strong protagonist tagged along with a mediocre heroine in an okay setting. But with one huge difference: Panty shots. Yeap. And plenty of fanservice.

Animation: 9/10
This is where this show shines. The animation is constantly top notch and the characters well drawn.
The battle scenes are also very fluid. A real eye candy so to speak.

Soundtrack: 3/10
Almost non-existent.

OVERALL: 6/10
This show has definetely potential to grow into something great. Although this potential is wasted in ecchi scenes that constantly break the tension. The main character gets a boost in power by getting turned on(WTF)! So you can pretty much imagine the proccess for beating an enemy.

J-Stars Victory Coming to Europe?

Anime/manga fans are hungry for J-Stars Victory VS, Namco Bandai’s crossover game featuring the likes of Naruto, Goku, Luffy, and a host of other Shonen Jump characters. March 2014 is when the game makes it way to Japan, but for the rest of the world, there hasn’t been a sound. On September 30th of this year, Namco Bandai Europe registered the web domain “Awakened-Legends-Vs.com.” It might just be wishful thinking but it sounds like it could be a localized version of J-Stars Victory VS. Steins Gate Gets a Live-Action Play

Steins Gate is one of the most popular visual novels in recent years. It spawned not only several other side-story games but also an anime (and sequel movie). But that's not all. This past week saw the close of the Steins Gate live-action play. And like the anime before it, it proved to be an excellent adaptation.

The most interesting thing about the play was how it dealt with the visual novel’s numerous endings. Simply put, depending on when you saw the play, the ending was different—with six possible endings in total.

Living ADV: Steins Gate ran from October 12, 2013, to October 20, 2013, in Tokyo's Zepp Diver City Theater. The play (with all six endings) will have a limited release on DVD in February, 2014. There is currently no word on a Western release. Read More..

Anime of the Week: Steins Gate

PLOT

Rintaro Okabe is a self-proclaimed "mad scientist" who believes that an international scientific organization named SERN is conspiring to reshape the world according to its own interests. He and his friend Itaru Hashida inadvertently create a gadget able to send messages to the past. The discovery and experimentation of this instrument become the catalyst of fundamental alterations to the present. Okabe is the only one aware of these changes because he possesses a Reading Steiner, the ability to retain the memories from previous experienced timelines. Oblivious of the consequences of their actions, Rintaro and his friends end up creating modifications of grievous proportions. He must then try to find a way to return as close as possible to the original timeline in order to save his precious lab partners.
